A New Mexico Native, Karyn Gabaldon has always held an affinity with nature and Japanese art. The simplicity...yet complexity of interpreting nature and its magical moments is what Gabaldon seeks to explore and express in her work.
Living in Durango, Colorado, since 1973, Gabaldon is a Fort Lewis College alumni. After being a professional potter for 20 years, she began painting in 1991. "Clay taught me how to feel; Painting taught me how to see."
Gabaldon has owned and operated her own gallery since 1980. She blends her life with the continual development of art, business, and community.
